  • Film screenings and events will take place across various venues, including MFA Boston, MassArt, Hibernian Hall, and JustBook-ish. Double-check your tickets and the festival schedule to ensure you are going to the correct venue.

You can find venue addresses and visitor information here.

  • All times are in Eastern Standard Time.

  • 2026 Film Guide coming soon! You can use this to find a list of the films in alphabetical order.

  • We have asked local screenwriters to submit works in progress and have brought in professional actors to read the scripts and give feedback.  The read is a great way to hear new work, support local writers and actors and learn about the script writing process. You as an audience member will have the opportunity to ask questions as well. It’s free to participate.

The schedule, links, and bios of the filmmakers and a list of actors  to the daily readings can be found on the current Festival page once available.

For general information about the Script Reads including previous writer and actors’ bios, visit the main page here.

  • We are actively looking to increase our number of films available with captions or subtitles - and are also excited to have our first film available with audio description this year! As we do final tests for this year’s films, we will publish an updated list of which films have accessibility features.

  • Most Q&As in the festival will be held in-person after the screenings. Some Q&As may be held live online or pre-recorded and be uploaded online afterwards as well.

Check out our YouTube page here for any recorded Q&As.

  • The Local Eats and Drinks page highlights our favorite, mostly POC-owned, food and drink businesses for people to patronize during the Festival if you are looking to turn your movie viewing experience into a classic RoxFilm Dinner & A Movie experience.

If you have any suggestions, please send them to roxfilmfest@gmail.com.
